It is kind of short, but it’s okay in an area where you are seated (office, reading chair). Mine is in my office, but not sure it’d look right just in the corner of a room. It provides a good amount of light, but does not light up the entire room. The bulb is LED but the shade gives it a warm glow. The little foot pedal is convenient.
